Like the author, Caroline had suffered on and off with back pain for decades. Bouncing from various therapies, she had no long term resolution. It was an expensive problem to have!

That is how Caroline ended up at my office. The awareness of how pain can be triggered by stressful events was a stepping stone and the beginning process of her healing journey.
We often acknowledge that muscle pain and tension are connected with stress, but it can still be a personal mystery, particularly if the original trigger was many years ago.
By repeating the tension habit in our body, coupled with the stressor, we can be crippled with pain. That can leave us feeling vulnerable and afraid.
During her first session Caroline’s healing story began with learning how breath is tied to holding patterns and back pain.
By discovering what she was doing, she was able to change that habit and catch it in it’s tracks when it creeped in.
Caroline felt empowered. She also learned how to move her back in safe and comfortable ways. Over a couple of months she has gone from being afraid to do any exercise to starting a simple routine at the gym. Her goal to become more active without the fear of a relapse had been realized.
She has harnessed the power of awareness to fast track her healing journey. Her body has moved from being confused and fearful to aware and empowered.
